The suspension computer gets weird. Probably because it gets wrong information from one of its many sensors and then decides to switch to sports mode.
If I remember correctly Mike had such too and it appeared to be the potentiometer mounted at the rear of the accelaretor pedal.
I wouldn't be surprised if the falling of the car's back after starting comes from the same problem.
By the way, do you have a 'knipperkastje'? It's a nifty device you can make yourself to read out the computers?
As Coolmans Xm is from '99 this probably will not work Wim. Lexia is the only way.
The failing (or is itt falling) of the rear is in my opinion more likely a dirty height corrector/regulator. It's stuck in position and comes lose after a short time. Cleaning the heigth corrector internally (remove from the car, dissassemble, clean and assemble and mount on the car) may cure this issue.
Yes, this is a homemade tool. It consists of a diode, LED, resistor and a switch. But as Furriegurrie pointed out it can't be use with your car anymore. :?
Nevertheless I'll search the document tonight and give you the link. At least it's worth to try.
As Gerry already mentioned, won't work on a '99 xm.
Have you checked your suspension computer for burn marks around or on the opposide side of the vn05 transistor ?

Have you already considered to buy a Lexia? Something like this: http://tinyurl.com/cob4nzc
It might look like a lot of money but I can assure you it is worth every penny of it. Not only it can read out all the computers (ABS, ECU, suspension and ECC) but you can diagnose and test too. The software is used by PSA dealers.
I , too, can void for the Lexia; worth every penny and pays itself back in several jobs on the car.
Falling of the rearside can also be caused by a flat anti-sink sphere. Pressure is built up after you start the car, then when the anti-sink valve is opened, the hydraulic system has to fill up the whole anti-sink sphere all of a sudden. As a result the car drops its behind.
The owner is from Germany. Don't know him sorry.
But about the weels, i think he thit it with bolts :D
Je vais reussir, tout simplement parce que je refuse de perdre.

Hi there Coolman! Damn nice wheels you've got there! Nice seize too!
And:
for you too!
I have a problem with the hydraulics since I bought the car.
Can you help me with any suggestions?
- After starting (cold start) 20-30s then rear of the car fails.
There is another phenomenon.
- While driving, sometimes enter into Sport mode. I feel it hard.
Get out of the car and push the front - does not move. Is hard as stone.

Hi wimb,
No I don't have 'knipperkastje' :|
Is this tool home made ?
Hi furriegurrie,
Thank you I will check and clean hight corrector.

This is package
http://www.programatoribg.com/lexia3/index.htm

Thank you
